Let’s talk deposits, why are they needed? As someone who is Self Employed, deposits are necessary for me to ensure that when I’m holding a date, and in turn turning other work away, that I am covering myself in case that work doesn’t go ahead. If, for example, I hold a date until the trial, which is recommended to be 2-3 months before the wedding date, but then for whatever reason the job does not go ahead, I have inevitably lost out on possible other weddings. So for that reason, a date is only held for 24 hours after the quote, in which the deposit needs to be paid and after that, please contact me to see if the date is still available. I have had many bride to be’s send me the money a month or two on, but by then their wedding date has been filled.
