Wedding Terms & Conditions

BOOKING FEE

  • A £75/100 booking fee is required to secure a clients event/ wedding date, the amount varies depending on size of the wedding and will be on the quote. Until this is received the chosen date is still available to any other client wishing to book.
  • All Payments are Non-refundable, however the booking fee paid will be redeemable against the final balance of the wedding date.
  • A paid booking fee is confirmation that these terms and conditions have been acknowledged and agreed.
  • The Full payment for the wedding day services should be paid 60 days prior to the wedding date.

CLIENT CANCELATIONS AND AMENDMENTS

  • If a wedding is cancelled within 90 days of the date, before or after the trial has taken place, the total will still be owed in full.
  • If a wedding is cancelled over 90 days of the date, 50% of the final balance will still need to be owed.
  • If service of the booking are amended at any point after the booking fee is received, and the total amount is to be lower than that as the time of the booking, this must be left to Lauren’s discretion, the initial amount at the time of the booking fee may still be due, or Lauren may cancel her services with the client.
  • If once a booking fee is received, a trial (and therefore wedding day services) are no longer required by the client, and the client has failed to give notice within the 2 weeks of the trial date that was agreed by both parties, the total trial amount will still be due in full, which is covered by the booking fee.
  • If after the booking fee has been received and the trial has taken place and services are no longer required, the booking fee will still be due in full.
  • All payments made are Non-refundable but may be used against another date if applicable.

CLIENT AMENDMENTS

  • Any Amendments made to the booking after the booking fee has been received must be agreed with Lauren in writing.
  • Any Amendments made to the booking after the booking fee has been received, which results in a lower total amount than that at the time of booking must be agreed by Lauren, or the initial higher amount will still be due.
  • Any Amendments made to the booking after the booking fee has been received, which results in a lower total amount than that at the time of booking may be subject to cancelation of the entire booking.
  • All Payments are Non-refundable

MINIMUM CHARGE

  • A minimum charge of a £300 applies to each wedding
  • This Minimum charge total excludes any and all travels and accommodation (if needed) costs required.

TRIALS

  • Any Subsequent trials needed after the initial trial will be charged for.
  • If once the booking fee is received, a trial (and therefore wedding day service) are no longer required by the client, the booking fee will still be due .
  • If after the booking fee has been received and the trial has taken place and services arena longer required by the client, the booking fee will still be due in full.
  • All payments are non refundable.
  • All trials will take place at Mia of Margate Salon, 11 Marine Gardens Margate CT9 1UN. If the client would prefer the trial to take place at their house, Travel Costs by car will be charged to the client at 0.55p per mile.

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION

  • Travel Costs by car will be charged to the client at 0.55p per mile.
  • Transport charges including but not limited to traveling by train, taxi and airplane, are the responsibility of the client, including parking and road toll charges.
  • Transportation for long distance bookings, either abroad or in the UK, must be booked and managed by the client, and not before Lauren has agreed to the details of the booking in writing.
  • If accommodation is required in order to carry out the clients booking, this is the responsibility of the client to book and pay for such accommodation, which should be agreed and confirmed with Lauren in writing before hand.
  • For any bookings abroad, a £150 travel day charge for each travel day to cover loss of earnings on these days.
  • For weddings abroad a minimum spend of £350 (not including travel costs) will be required for the wedding day.
  • All Payments are Non-refundable

LARGE WEDDINGS

  • For larger weddings of 6 more people, or an extra early start (before 7am), an assistant may be required at an extra cost of £75 and their travel expenses at 0.55p per mile.

SICKNESS

  • If for any reason I am unwell or unable to complete your services for the wedding day, I will endeavor to find you a replacement artist who I know and trust to replace me for your wedding day (i’ve never left any bride down on their wedding day, but I have a large group of artists that can jump in the help me).
  • If for any reason, you or one of your bridal party are unwell with a contagious issue. I have the right to refuse to proceed with their treatment. I am more than happy to transfer their treatment to another person in your bridal party.
  • If for any reason your wedding has had to be postponed, your booking fee can be transferred to another date (if I have the date available).

Beauty Terms and Conditions (Lashes, Brows and Facial bookings)

BOOKING INFORMATION

  • 30% booking fee required upon booking
  • If you have made your booking in person/over the phone please complete the payment request within 72hrs. Your appointment will automatically be cancelled if the booking fee is not paid.

PATCH TESTING POLICY:
Patch testing for brow & lash treatments must be completed in clinic if:

  • You are a new client. 
  • It has been longer than 6 months since your last visit with us.
  • There has been any change to your medical history (this includes covid, pregnancy or any vaccinations since your last visit).

    CANCELLATION & NO SHOW POLICY:
  • A minimum of 24hrs notice prior to your scheduled booking is required should you need to cancel/amend your appointment.
  • Any booking fees paid will be deemed returnable/transferable if sufficient notice has been given. 
  • Failure to inform us of a cancellation or amendment to your booking with less than 24hrs notice will void any booking fees paid.   
  • Failure to notify us of any change to your medical history, resulting in your treatment being cancelled with less than 24hrs notice will void any booking fees paid.
  • No shows/missed appointments incurs a 100% charge of the missed appointment.
  • On the day cancellations incurs losing the 30% booking fee of the missed appointment.
